NOAM is an organization founded by German-speaking Jews for all German-speaking Olim who arrived in Israel in recent years.
Since 1998 NOAM works as part of the Irgun Yozei Merkaz Europa (Association of Israelis of Central-European Origin), an immigrant’s organization that was founded in 1932.
The association of Israelis of Central-European Origin had the same stated aims as NOAM does today. With the aging of its membership base, the association today manages several nursing homes and a “homeland-museum”, and publishes a bilingual newspaper called “Yakinton”.
In November 2000 NOAM was recognized by the Jewish Agency of Israel (Sochnut) as the official representative of all German-speaking immigrants to Israel.
Since then NOAM is in perpetual contact with the authorities responsible for New Immigrants.
Our areas of operation include:
·         Aliyah-counseling
·         Organizing of social events
·         Job placement
·         Internship placement
NOAM also attends to those who come to Israel for a limited time, and who remain in the country as tourists.
Our aim is to help each newcomer in his or her integration in Israel, as well as to be of general help to them.
