Iran

“Iranian Zionist Organization in Israel” has unified under one umbrella the main entities of this organization belonging to associations that were and are related to such aspects of activities as: immigration and absorption (“Aliyah”), education, Iranian Jews’ Legacy and welfare for the Iranian Jewry in Israel.

The vision

To become a center of the Iranian Jewry in the area of welfare, heritage and culture and to develop generations of leaders capable to take lead of the community in those fields into Israeli society.

Main goals

- To operate for Iranian Jewry in order to unify in Israel and in the Diaspora. To represent them before any local or international body.

- To promote the Iranian Jewry in Israel in the fields of education and its society in order to bring them to a successful adaptation into Israeli society and thus to contribute to the power of Israel.

- To operate for the establishment of the future generation that will lead to-morrow’s community.

Absorption of new emigrants in Israel

- Aid for new immigrants from Iran (”Olim”), in different stages of their absorption aimed at relieving the difficulties of the absorption and at successful and fast adaptation into Israeli society.

- Activities targeted to encourage emigration from Iran of the remaining Iranian Jewry.

- Activities to encourage immigration (Aliyah”) of the Iranian Jewry to Israel from different parts of the world.

- Activities to enhance the relations between Iranian Jewry in the western world to benefit Judaism, Zionism and the State of Israel.

Education

- To encourage and promote youth in the community towards excellency and academic studies through scholarships and other various benefits.

- To encourage and support the student with Iranian roots at high education colleges.

Welfare

- To provide aid among the community for the needy and for those from low social economic backgrounds in order to help them to achieve a state of independence.

- To establish an aid fund for some humanitarian issues.

Heritage

- To operate for preservation of the Iranian Jewry heritage.

- To carry out research and to document Iranian Jewry heritage commencing from the destruction of the First Temple up to immigration (“Aliyah”) activity that has been taking place since the establishment of the State of Israel.

- To operate for spreading the Iranian Jewish heritage among the Iranian community and among entire Israeli community.

- To establish a cultural center and a museum for preservation and to promote and to increase awareness of the culture, traditions and folklore of the Iranian Jewry.

- To operate for the promotion of the Iranian art and artists among the Iranian Jewish community in Israel.

Culture

- To initiate and encourage vents of culture, folklore and singing among the Iranian Jews in Israel.

- To encourage and to support artists among the Iranian Jews in Israel.

- To increase awareness and knowledge of Israeli culture among the Iranian community in Israel by means of cultural evenings and trips in order to acquaint them with the country, its history and people.
